When duty called, away you went; off to Saudi you were sent – to defend our Country’s rights; in the name of America you would fight.
President Bush set the date for the liberation of Kuwait.
Sadaam Hussein was on the run, and Desert Storm had begun.
You stood tall with your head high, confident you would not die; but on that night you flew a mission, and God took you away without my permission.
Your helicopter crashed in Iraq, and now you’re never coming back.
I never imagined in my wildest dreams that this could ever happen to me; but now you’re gone and I’m alone to face the world on my own.
You were everything to me, I thought we’d be together for eternity.
I don’t like this life I’ve been given, but I have no choice but to go on living.
With your love I’ll never part ’cause you’ll always be alive in my heart.
The memories we shared till linger on, and I’ll love you until the end of time.
