Our Board

Roland Guerrero

Roland has worked for over 30 years in the safety, health and environmental field holding many positions for multi-national industrial and manufacturing companies and currently consults for a worldwide environmental firm. He has been a board member of the YMCA, American Red Cross, and Red River Park Foundation and has been a member of numerous governmental working committees throughout his career. He and his wife, Tobi, have four children and live in San Marcos, Texas.

Jeff Coffee

Jeff served as City Council member and City Administrator in Buda, Texas, an immediate neighbor to Austin, and a small community experiencing extremely rapid growth. During his service in Buda, the Elgin City Council recruited Jeff to serve as City Manager. In addition to his political and public policy experience, Jeff holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA, a JD from the University of Houston, is licensed to practice law in Texas and manages a vacation rental property and event venue on his ancestral homestead.

Kori Jones

Kori Jones grew up in California and relocated to Texas in 1992 to pursue a Bachelors in Fine Art from the University of Texas San Antonio. In 2001 she met her husband who served in the Texas Army National Guard and deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Kori made a decision to get her yoga teacher’s certification followed by gaining specialized training in leading yoga classes for military personnel and veterans and rest and relaxation techniques for stress and trauma. In 2013 she reached out to the American Widow Project and from that an instant connection with its founder Taryn Davis grew into a friendship and an opportunity to teach yoga and stress management strategies to military widows.

Taryn Davis

Taryn Davis has been on the board since the organization’s beginning and has passion and drive for everything AWP. The growth and integrity of the organization and the widows they serve is a top priority as a board member. Her husband Michael was killed in 2007, but his love is still her driving force.
