Growing Through Grief
— Virtual Retreat

"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul." – Alfred Austin

What happens when you plant the seeds of self-awareness, compassion, and self-efficacy? You remember who you are, how magical you are, and all that is possible to you and the world around you.

Come plant that seed with the AWP.

Choosing to start a garden is a lot like choosing to live life fully after losing a loved one:

  • It’s dirty.
  • It takes blind hope and imagination to dream and dance with what may seem impossible.
  • Growth is often dictated by knowing what you’re working with and not being afraid to prune away to old or weed out the things that drain away the good.
  • It doesn’t always work out how you hoped…but you may find it was just to make room for a bit of magic.
  • Enjoying the “dirt” is just as important as enjoying the blossoms….and just as rewarding.

And that’s just to name a few of their shared similarities.

In the AWP’s Growing Through Grief virtual retreat, AWP Founder and fellow military widow, Taryn, takes you on a journey of curiosity, self-reflection, sowing, weeding, growth, and enjoying the harvest that being vulnerable and open provides.

No matter where you are….physically or mentally…you can take part in this intimate online retreat. It’s not a quick fix, but a time investment for you to water your soul and remember the potential that grows in the darkness.

If you’re ready to plant that seed with us, check-out the upcoming online retreats below.

We honor and celebrate the courage it takes to put yourself on this path and look forward to seeing you there.
