AWP Book Club

Theodore Roosevelt stated, “I am a part of everything that I have read.”

The AWP feels this truth deeply, and we believe that reading healing books helps heal the soul. Our book club is for military widows who are ready to join together in reading, learning, sharing, and integrating wisdom from our hand-selected library. We’ve spent years curating a list of profound books; books that touch the heart and expand the mind. Our library covers a wide range—from fiction to memoirs to the metaphysical—and we ask only that you bring an open mind and a willingness to share as we explore the transformative power of the written word.

The Details

We hold one book-club reading session per season.

You can sign-up for one
session per-year (unless we
have openings, in which we
will notify via email).

We will send you your book
(that will stay a mystery),
which we ask that you read
within 3 months.

We ask that you answer
and participate in a small
number of discussions
with members, as well as
take part in reflective
feedback.
