CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) – Members of the American Widows Project gathered on Thursday at NAS Corpus Christi to take part in a flight simulator exercise.
One lady came all the way from Alaska to be involved in the 3-day visit. The women say they came together to support each other, and to honor the men who were taken from them much too soon.
The group was the brain child of Taryn Davis. She created it four years ago after her husband, Corporal Michael Davis, was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Aside from the simulator exercise, the ladies will also get to wind surf and ride with the Coast Guard during their visit.
