I put most of my husband’s belongings in the rubber maid storage containers but I kept all the roses that he gave me when he proposed and pictures and other memorable things on the book shelf.  I picked a center shelf from my book shelf and it’s got a one 8×10 picture of my husband.  I have all the roses that I got from him, some dry flower and one artificial rose.  I also have his cologne on the shelf with his favorite Skin Industries hat that he wore a lot. I wear some of his shirts, and I take out his dress blues every once in awhile. His sandals are still on my shoe rack and his pictures are all over the wall. I don’t think it is necessary to put all of his belongings away. It helps me to go on another day and believe that he is coming back.
