4 years ago we headed to Santa Monica, CA for a widow weekend to remember. We honored our heroes at Arlington West (a memorial to our servicemembers on the beach), hopped around the Santa Monica Pier, chowed down on amazing food, and healed over long widow conversations at our beach house.
Well, we’re doing it all again, plus some more exciting and fun adventures!
Join us the weekend before Memorial Day to connect, laugh, heal and remember your hero.

Why go whale-watching, when you can kayak right next to them? Well that’s just what were going to do! Along with ziplining in the forest, checking out the famous fish markets, and most importantly….meeting AMAZING military widows from all over the US.
Camp Widow™ is a weekend long gathering of widowed people from across the country, and around the world. Camp Widow™ provides practical tools, valuable resources, and peer-based encouragement for rebuilding your life in the aftermath of the death of a spouse…all in a fun, uplifting, laughter filled atmosphere. Take a look at the photos, those smiles are real.They offer you a fantastic selection of workshops designed to provide you with some unique tools and new perspectives for the journey ahead.

Run for Reid is a Nonprofit Organization, founded by Alecia Reid, in honor of her husband, U.S. Army Spc. Dylan T. Reid who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country on October 16th, 2010 while deployed to Iraq. We will carry on his legacy through this organization, giving back to service members and their families in his honor.
The race time is 11:00 AM and check-in time begins at 9:00 AM. Registration is available online at http://www.active.com/running/park-rapids-mn/run-for-reid-2012, and will end on August 16th.
